A life without a flat iron is no life at all...

After several years of undying service and devotion to straightening the fro, BabyBliss has retired.  So fitting it decided to do that on a rainy, frizz inducing kind of day. Sniff...where to find another to love on such short notice. Anyway.....

...here are some pictures of Bardstown and my swanky pad!  Below is a picture of the skylight that is in the hallway....the chicken wire is a must have.  I am not sure why....I will just say it is Kentucky Fancy?!

The guest bedroom for all my family and friends visiting from the North!...

Bubba chilling in the living room...

I didn't pick that couch....apparently that was the only one that was brand new in rental furniture.  It looks comfortable....it really is not.

The rest of the living room and the door to my room. No pics for you.

This is the patio out back.  I have already been able to enjoy cocktails and the company of my apartment neighbours.

The Jailor's Inn that is across the street.  I hear it is haunted....

.......

...this might be why.

The "round-about"....and the City's Visitor Information Center.  It houses other businesses, I just can't remember what they are.

A LUNCH COUNTER IN THE LOCAL DRUG STORE!!!  They do exist!  I can't wait to try it out.

So that is it for now. I know you can hardly wait to find out more....so stay tuned.  Thanks for the comments!  I appreciate them.

HOME SWEET HOME!!

Here it is!  This is home for the next six months or so.  The location is great!! Right in the heart of downtown Bardstown.  It is awesome for checking out the shops and being close to nice restaurants....what I didn't take into consideration was how busy the area would be.  Who knew that Bardstown would have so much traffic?  But I guess if you live where the town's only "round about" is located....you are going to be dealing with traffic.  Bubba, TC and I live on the third floor!  We enjoy the many trips up and down the stairs so Bubba can relieve himself.  I just think of how much my butt will appreciate the effort!

We have made it through two weeks and we are finally settled and into a routine.  The trip down was not as painful as I thought it might be.  TC was enjoying some kitty narcotics to get him through and Bubba was preoccupied with food.  Now that we are here, TC has settled in quite fine, but Bubba has been a tad bid stressed.  He has finally stopped singing when I leave for work in the morning. I am not sure who is happier about that..me? or my neighbours?>I have met two of the three who live in the house and they are both very nice and friendly.  That pretty much describes everyone in Bardstown.  Bubba is a big hit on our walks.  He has plenty of admirers!!  Too bad he just runs away from them.  His vet has so graciously shipped us some medication to help with the transition.  We are looking forward to when they kick in fully.   I have more pictures to post and as soon as I figure out how to insert more of them in this blog....I will get right on it!  Stay tuned.
