He has gone from Michigan to Ontario down to Kentucky all in the last year. I do have to say life here in Kentucky wouldn't have been the same without him. Most of the people I have met here is because of walking this dog. Bardstown loves a basset hound!!
Not knowing his real birthday, I have decided the anniversary of the day I brought him home would become his official birthday. Today he is now 8 years old....or 56 years old in dog years. I picked him up a few things to help him celebrate his big day!! I did contemplate making him a cake, but I knew I would be eating most of that and that is not something I really need! You can tell from the pictures that he was completely excited to be the birthday boy!!
Woohoo....party on Dude!
I am not sure if it was the sudden excitement or the weight of the hat on his head, but it pooped him out.
T.C. checking in to see why the birthday boy is lying down.
T.C. trying to get the party re-started!
Bubba has now sucked the life out of T.C.
Can hardly keep my eyes open....
....and it's nap time.
T.C. investigating the party hat...hmm shiny tinfoil...must eat...
The nap sparked a renewed energy in Bubba....many hours later.
Not everyone can pull off this look!
My gift to Bubba for his birthday is a trip home to Canada for 12 days! I hope to leave really early tomorrow morning. I am bringing T.C. home too and that should be interesting. T.C. will probably be enjoying a 1/2 of a benedryl before we make this fateful trip!! There will be a couple of days at work in Blenheim and then the rest of it vacation. Visiting with friends, BBQ'ing..(oh how I have missed thee!), shopping and to top it all off...a Keith Urban concert!! I am really looking forward to coming home and being back in my house. But most of all, I am looking forward to being able to kick Bubba out into the backyard to do his business instead of having to walk him 4 times a day! It's the simple things in life, eh?
