Last night my co-workers took me out to dinner for my birthday. We actually planned to go out last week during the Bourbon festival, but when you leave planning outings to my boss something always goes wrong. Even last night getting the group together he told Serena we were going to the El Jimador and the rest of us BJ's. (Yes BJ's.....makes my boss snicker like a little girl when he says it and that is worth the name alone!) It was very nice to be out with the group. Serena brought her husband and daughter and that always adds some energy to the evening. After dinner Serena and family went home and Tina, Amir and I went to the bar side for a birthday drink. A likely excuse for Amir to have some Bourbon. Last night we had Buffalo Trace Bourbon. (In honour of my cousin Erin's visit today!!) It was quite nice. We were entertained by some of the waiters drinking at the bar after their shift and of course talked about work. (hard not to do with those two.) The bartender heard we were drinking for my birthday so she gave me a shooter that she had invented but had no name for. I think there was bourbon, some Cinnamon alcohol, grapefruit juice...I think and something else. It was actually pretty good....better than it sounds. I took some pictures..mostly because our waiter was entertaining.

So now I must get busy and clean. I have visitors coming and I am very excited. My cousin Erin and her husband Chris will be arriving this afternoon. I am trying to think of ways to make their arrival special....and embarrassing but I've got nothing so far. Maybe lots of hugs for Chris. I know how much he will love that! Bwahahahaha...ha.
