Bardstown Christmas Parade

It was a beautiful and almost warm night last night which was perfect for the Bardstown Christmas parade.  People were lining the streets downtown even before I got home at 5:30.  I thought it would be nice to enjoy the outdoors and watch with everyone else, but Bubba had other ideas and it certainly didn't involve being in a crowd.  So instead we perched at my bedroom window as we watched the floats make their way down 3rd street.  They had an announcer at the square introducing the floats as they came by. When she mentioned that there were 100 entries in the parade I was really impressed.  That feeling didn't last long, as a lot of the entries were just old cars, fire trucks and a few tractors.  Some of them didn't even bother getting all decked out in the Christmas theme.  It was pretty great though to see how many people were lining the streets and all the kids out to watch.  I took a few pictures with the IPhone, but they are not so hot.  The parade started at 6:00 and by 7:00 I will admit my interest in the festivities fell away and I retreated away from the window and into the kitchen in search of food.  I think by 7:30 things were wrapping up, but you could tell a lot of people had already left.  Here are a few of the pictures that were not so blurry!
